CometChat
Highest and most active contributor to CometChat’s React Native UI Kit for v5. Joined at the start of v5 development and handled every aspect end-to-end, from architecture and UI component development to performance optimisation and platform compatibility. Built scalable, high-performance chat components using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and resolved customer-reported and QA- reported issues across releases. Managed npm package publishing, version upgrades, and release cycles, with all contributions fully open-source. Collaborated with product and mobile teams to deliver impactful features. Developed three sample applications, including a feature-rich app with Google Sign-In, push notifications, VoIP, and an Expo-compatible version. Provided technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Accenture
Accenture was my first real job as a developer, where I worked for 3.1 years. I began my journey with React and eventually transitioned to React Native. During this time, I had the privilege of working with diverse clients, including Malabar Gold, Al Etihad Credit Bureau for their Credit Score Application in the UAE, and British Telecom, among others. Each project exposed me to new challenges and opportunities to grow as a developer. My experience with React Native deepened as I worked on building cross-platform mobile applications, enhancing my understanding of performance optimization, state management, and seamless API integrations. It was an invaluable period of learning, helping me sharpen my skills while delivering solutions for a wide range of industries
During my final semester in engineering, I completed a six-month internship at GrowthPal, which was my introduction to the world of development. This internship marked my first experience with React, laying the foundation for my career in software development. It was an eye-opening opportunity, where I learned the fundamentals of React and how to build responsive and dynamic web applications. The workflow mirrored real-world development practices with task-based assignments, stand-up meetings, and close collaboration with the team. This hands-on experience gave me a solid understanding of React components, state management, and working with APIs, all of which prepared me for future roles and projects."
